Who Was Inder Kaur?
Inder Kaur whose real name was Yashinder Kaur, was a rising Punjabi singer and also a makeup artist from Ludhiana, Punjab. She was slowly making her place in the Punjabi entertainment industry through music, social media, and other beauty-related work. She was a hardworking, ambitious, and cheerful woman. Even though she was still growing in the music industry, she has achieved some regional success in it.
Apart from singing she was also interested in fashion styling. Her social media pages reflect her beauty for Punjabi music culture and beautiful talent. Inder belonged to a Punjabi family based in the Mundian Kalan area in Ludhiana. She was very close to her family and often stayed connected her roots despite working in the entertainment industry.
Was Inder Kaur in a Relationship?
No she was not in a relationship. However there was a man named Sukhwinder Singh also known as Sukha, interested in marrying her. Her family claims that she rejected this marriage proposal multiple times. The accused reportedly live in Canada and had known Inder for quite some time. Family members discussed how he was pressuring her for marriage even though she did not want one.
How Did Inder Kaur Go Missing?
According to the police report and her Inder Kaur’s family statement she has left her home on May 13 to buy groceries. After that she never returned home. Her family allegedly said that she had been kidnapped at gunpoint. Soon after her disappearance they filed a police complaint and demanded immediate action. The report claimed that there was a witness who saw suspicious activity around the time of kidnapping and the case became quickly serious because of the possible involvement of armed suspect.
The Shocking Discovery of Her Body
After days of searching for Inder. The police recovered her body from Neelo canal near village Kuba in Ludhiana on May 19, 2026. Her relatives later identified the body at Civil Hospital in Sarmala. This has shook the Punjabi music community and her fans across social media. Inder’s family has accused Sukha because she refused to marry that man. They claim that she had been facing pressure and threat related to marriage. Some reports even claim that Sukvindar fled back to Canada after the incident which looks suspicious for him.
Punjab Police has now launched a murder investigation into the case. An FIR was reportedly registered against Sukhwinder Singh and another accused identified as Karamjit Singh. The police found blood stains inside a vehicle during investigation that is connected to the case which increased suspicions of violent crime.
Right now the police is currently investigating the kidnapping, forced marriage, pressure, body conspiracy, travel records, and the CCTV footage of both the victim and accused. The authorities are also trying to determine whether more people were involved in the crime or not.
